The announcement comes hot on the heals of their majestic ‘Homecoming’ show at Chepstow Racecourse on August bank holiday weekend, where the band played a greatest hits set to a packed out, sun drenched crowd in Grant’s home town – the first time the band had ever played there. The 2018 UK Tour, the bands biggest for 10 years, proving their popularity is showing no signs of slowing down, kicks off on 7th March in Bristol and ends in London at Brixton Academy on 17th March. The tour will see the band playing tracks from the new Best Of, spanning an impressive 21 years of releases, and FEEDER first played Brixton Academy in October 1999 with this being bands first time back there since their sold-out headline show 5 years ago.

Following lead singer/guitarist and songwriter Grant Nicholas’s critically acclaimed solo releases, and FEEDER’s 2016 hit album ‘All Bright Electric’ the FEEDER frontman says he feels re-invigorated, and in the best creative space of his life. Adding “I remember sitting in a classroom at school aged 11 drawing pictures of flying V guitars and dreaming of being in a band, a band that could fill arenas and stadiums. The dream came true and here I am 25 years later with Feeder and still riding the rock and roll train. It’s hard to believe that Swim, the first mini album, was released 21 years ago. It feels like yesterday.”

The brand new, comprehensive collection will be available digitally, as a deluxe packaged 4 disc vinyl, deluxe 3CD collection or standard double CD. Both deluxe options will include a brand new 9 track FEEDER album, ‘Arrow’, and the double CD will feature 4 of those new tracks. The band’s 13th album will be released via BMG on 29th September and fans can pre-order with exclusive content here.

Always exhilarating, always celebratory, tracks such as ‘Just The Way I’m Feeling’, ‘Buck Rogers’, ‘Feeling a Moment’ and ‘Lost & Found’ are just a handful of the twenty top 40 hit singles the band have enjoyed over their 21 year recording career, and ‘The Best of FEEDER’ showcases just why the band are consistently one of the best British rock bands of the last two decades. “After the success of ‘All Bright Electric’ it felt like the perfect time to release a Best Of, to remind people of our story so far, and the music we have created over the years” said Grant.

The first single from THE BEST OF is entitled ‘Veins - from new music disc of the album ‘Arrow’. ‘Veins’ is classic FEEDER, and once again showcases Nicholas’ innate knack for crafting instantly memorable songs. ‘Veins’ was actually written for Grant’s solo long player, Yorktown Heights, but as Grant says “…was too FEEDER”. On being asked to explain the difference Grant adds “…its the same person but a different side of my brain. Veins is a song about life, and the importance of democracy and looking to the future: with everything that happening in the world, it feels more relevant now then when I wrote it”. “We really wanted to include some new songs to this package to give the Best Of something new and fresh amongst the older tracks and to make it feel a bit more special for the fans. It also adds something different to the singles album that we released 11 years ago. The new recordings grew into a body of work which we have named ‘Arrow’ and includes 9 new songs”.

FEEDER first shot to fame when their debut EP ‘Swim’ was released to huge critical acclaim in 1996. Since then, FEEDER have released nine studio albums, three compilations, 41 E.P.s and singles, spending a combined total of 181 weeks on the singles and albums charts. They’ve accumulated 25 top 75 singles, 20 of them in the Top 40, and amassed over 5 million record sales, including 3 Platinum and 2 Gold Albums. FEEDER have not just survived the last 21 years, they’ve flourished beyond compare.

“We are proud of this album and hopefully it shows why we are still here and who we are as a band. There is no one quite like feeder and it has always been about the tunes” – Grant Nicholas.
