About Dublin City's Russian Cultural Festival: The Festival of Russian Culture is a celebration of Maleness (Pancake Week) and marks the Russian pre-lent celebrations, the ending of winter and the beginning of spring, which is celebrated in cities throughout the world. This year Dublin celebrates its 3rd annual Festival of Russian Culture from the week beginning Monday 20th February with a full week of activities culminating on Sunday 26th February. About Oleg Pogudin, Honoured Artist of Russia: Born in 1968, Oleg Pogudin graduated from music school and awarded with Honours Degree from the Leningrad State Institute of Cinema in acting and music. He took a course in the Eugene O'Neill Theatre Centre, USA.
Oleg performed his first recital in 1987. Since then he had performed in many prestigious venues, such as The Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatoire, Chaykovsky Concert Hall, The Russia State Concert Hall, Moscow Variety Theatre, the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, the State Kremlin Palace. He singer also performs in different venues both in Russia and abroad.
From 1993 to 1996 he performed in 10 musicals. Oleg Pogudin is a lecturer in the St. Petersburg Theatre Academy. He was awarded an Honoured Artist of Russia in 2004. He is often referred to as "a silver voice of Russia" by the media.
Oleg Pogudin sings a vast repertoire from traditional Russian folk songs, classic songs, songs of the Great Patriotic War, popular Soviet songs, the best international songs, religious hymns. He sings in many languages, including English, French, Italian, German and many more.
Oleg Pogudin has 21 CD albums.
